Silken goes swimming!

Originally opened in 1980, the Bedford (NS) boutique has long been a lingerie point of reference for the community

And while Silken had been offering swimsuits for over 25 years, Adele T. Hallal found it was increasingly difficult to properly feature swimwear, due to limited space.

When the store next door became available, timing seemed ripe to expand the retail area by finally launching Silken Swim!

Following two months of construction, renovation and remodeling, March 15th. saw the official grand opening, with clients enjoying snacks, refreshments, complimentary swag bag with swim purchase, and a fantastic draw featuring store products and a $500 Maritime Travel gift card.

The event attracted the attention of local press and authorities: the town's Legislative Representative, Mrs. Kelly Regan took care to highlight Silken's continued commitment to various local charitable causes.

The expansion has also resulted in an expanded offering, including sunglasses, footwear, beach hats, sundresses, cruise wear, and an more menswear products. Adele tells us “Customers' response has been overwhelmingly positive!
