French Lingerie Loft to Take Place in New York City

A West Village pop-up event will bring the French lifestyle to New York City over the course of a weekend of workshops and fine lingerie, and Intima Media Group will be there to report.

November 2018 will see an exciting new event come to the Big Apple. Organized by the Association for the Promotion of Corsetry Industries, also known as Promincor - Lingerie Française, the French Lingerie Loft is a three-day popup lingerie exhibition in the heart of the West Village. At the center of the event lies an appreciation for the excellence of French lingerie, made increasingly relevant by the fact that French companies have an enormous influence on the North American lingerie industry. Corsetry exports from France are valued at 371.5 million EUR in 2017, of which 26.3m EUR go to the US alone. This exhibition will highlight the important influence that French craftsmanship and style exert on the North American market.

The event will celebrate the Parisian female spirit, with an outlook that is active, loving and joyful. Each of the 14 participating brands will present 10 lingerie sets, and the loft space - already warm and inviting - will be transformed into an exquisite showroom. Whilst guests are welcome to drop in to see the lingerie on display, those who book ahead can also make the most of the many workshops taking place throughout the weekend. These instructive formats include master classes on French lace, bra shapes, and craftsmanship hosted by participating brands, but also expand to areas such as chocolate making and baby care, providing a rounded experience à la française!

For those involved in the French Lingerie Loft, it is clear that French lingerie is not merely a style, but a philosophy that stretches far beyond the salesfloor.
