Elle Mio (Canada)

Born of a passion for offering women custom bra fittings, including those who have had breast surgery, Elle Mio opened the doors of its second location in 2016 on Moncton’s idyllic Main Street. If the address conjures images of an inviting downtown just blocks from the riverfront, it couldn’t be closer to the truth, as the new sales space welcomes locals and visitors alike to explore the feminine and indulgent side of life here in the heart of New Brunswick.

Founder and certified bra fitter Ronda Daigle had worked in lingerie retail for almost a decade when she founded the original Elle Mio boutique, located in a nearby town. As the store grew, she was joined by her daughter Katelyn, who manages the new location, and together the two are rewriting the book on helping women feel lovely in their own skin – so much so, in fact, that the pair articulates the ethos of their shop with a near-exclusive focus on making customers feel comfortable, attended to, and most of all, beautiful.

❤ We love the little touches throughout the space that lend a homey, tasteful appeal. The fitting rooms – sacred dens of the bra fitting experience – are spacious and reassuring, with faux-fur throw rugs underfoot and inspirational words above the mirrors. Meanwhile, in the sales area, ash-hued wood grain flooring runs wall to wall, from the upholstered settee in the lounge area to the sun-splashed display windows at the front of the store. An array of bras, all by top brands, are suspended from discreet wall rods, while nightgowns and robes occupy standing racks. Uncluttered and curated, the store is luxurious but not overpowering, leaving plenty of space to browse and enjoy one-on-one attention to detail from the dedicated sales team. After all, this is the crux of the mission: to encourage, support and fit women, one bra at a time.
