The swim collection has an eco-friendly approach and is made from recycled Lycra. The color palette is inspired by J. Henry Fair’s “Industrial Scar” photography project and petrol, moss, rose, azure, blue, burnt orange reflect the shades of industrial pollution, especially in water. In fact, the whole collection refers to the scars that human beings have made on the earth. Different textures are used to represent the earth’s surface, such as embroidered hems, beading, and embroidered tulle, while the layering and organic shapes are intended to match the contours of scarred ground and polluted water. Above all, it is an eco-friendly range that gives the wearer the chance to respect the earth on an individual level.
Ruwen Song and Yuman He, two Chinese designers who graduated from the London College of Fashion, Song first launched her beach collection in 2014 with a distinct retro vibe, and then later in 2016 Yuman unveiled her minimalist but extremely elegant lingerie collection. These two creative minds joined forces to create Voiment, a new conceptually innovative brand, that will debut with its FW18 collection.
