PERFORMANCE DAYS in Munich, Germany, and the Functional Fabric Fair in Portland, USA. PERFORMANCE DAYS IN MUNICH – October 23-24, 2024  
PERFORMANCE DAYS Munich, held at the Messe München grounds, is a key meeting place for industry leaders in functional textiles for sportswear, footwear, and workwear, and now includes a dedicated bodywear section. The 29th edition of this event brings together a wide range of exhibitors, expert talks, and workshops that provide a closer look at trends and the latest fabric innovations.

 - Bodywear Collective: This year’s Munich event will introduce an exciting new focus on bodywear. Visitors can explore cutting-edge solutions for fabrics and materials designed specifically for bodywear, including advancements in breathability, comfort, and performance. Bodywear has become a crucial sector, where functionality must meet aesthetics and sustainability. Expect insights into high-tech fabrics optimized for everything from everyday wear to performance undergarments. 

- Reality Zone: In collaboration with Accelerating Circularity, the Reality Zone will feature workshops focused on transitioning toward circular supply chains. This area will explore topics like chemical legislation and its role in shaping a sustainable future. 

- Workshops & Expert Talks: Workshops in partnership with Ohana Public Affairs will discuss crucial EU regulations impacting textiles, including eco-design for sustainable products. These sessions will provide practical guidance for designers and manufacturers preparing for future legislation.The Expert Talks Area has developed into an important platform in recent years. Industry experts gather on-site for information exchange, and the audience consistently shows enthusiasm for the inspiring presentations, deep dives, panels, and discussions. 

- Guided Tours and Trend Forum: Explore the latest innovations in functional textiles with expert-led tours. At the Trend Forum, visitors can interact with the newest fabric technologies, color trends, and accessories shaping the future of the industry.

This event aims to create a focused environment where industry professionals can network and discover the latest developments in the world of sustainable and high-performance textiles. 

What to Expect: - Day 0 / Pre-Event Workshop: On November 19, a full-day seminar will delve into real-world sustainability practices, offering case studies and hands-on experiences with industry-leading practitioners.

 - Expert Talks Program: Starting on November 20, sessions will cover a range of topics, including the latest advancements in textile technology and sustainability challenges. These talks will feature presentations and panel discussions by industry experts. 

- Trend Forum & Innovations: Just like in Munich, Portland’s fair will highlight the newest trends in functional sportswear, workwear, and athleisure fabrics. The Trend Forum will offer attendees the opportunity to see future-focused materials and innovations, with an emphasis on fluorocarbon-free and recycled products. 

Key exhibitors include PrimaLoft, which leads the way in sustainable insulation technology, and Buhler Quality Yarns, innovators in eco-friendly yarn production.
