The Femmy Gala 2018

Celebrations were surely in full swing last night at this world-class event. The gala was hosted by Dita Von Teese who presided over the events with fantastic flair. This year also featured amazing light decorations and beautiful floral decorations. One of the highlights of the evening was the 15th Annual Student Design Contest featuring the designs of Fashion Institute of Technology students, with the contest theme “60 Years of Intimate Apparel Design.” Contest winners received cash awards presented by SAIG Co-Chairs Suzanne Beck and Clelia Parisi and sponsored by Clover Group International Ltd., Regina Miracle International (Holdings) Ltd., and Stretchline Holdings Ltd. The top three will be featured in a photo shoot in the summer edition of The Best of Intima!

This year, honorees included: Target (accepted by Marybeth Moser, VP DMM, Intimates, Performance, Swim and Heather Fryxell, Director Women's Intimates); Komar Intimates (accepted by Debby Gedney, President); Texco Hook & Eye Tape Ltd. (accepted by Tommy Fung, Chairman Texco Group); Lifetime Achievement: Donald R. Allen, Jr., Vice President, Creative Design-Core Intimates, PVH Corp.; and Diamond Jubilee: Celebrating 60 Years of Lycra (accepted by Bob Kirkwood, EVP Marketing & Technology, INVISTA Apparel).
