THE BEST OF INTIMA AWARDS The Date Unveiled

The first edition of the Best of Intima Awards took place in New York City in 2004, with the pioneering support of major brands in the intimate apparel industry, who have continued to champion the event over the years. Now entering into its 14th year, the ceremony has gone from strength to strength. Premium national and international brands make up the official Best of Intima Awards Jury, which nominates a selection of lingerie stores that stand out for any number of reasons, be it product knowledge, fitting expertise, excellent customer service, or sales acumen. During the annual awards gala held in New York City, one winner in each category takes away an exclusive glass-mosaic sculpture, which was custom-designed and hand-made in Ravenna, Italy. Participating stores are in the running to receive one of several Special Recognition Prizes, in the form of a handmade glass-mosaic frame, honoring unique achievements in retail. The Best of Intima Awards is part of the international Intima Media Group, which recognizes independent retailers with four other annual awards ceremonies in Europe: Italy, whose awards gala is held in Florence; Germany (Munich), the UK (London), and France (Paris). “The mission of the Intima Retail Awards is to determine and honor best practices within the independent intimate apparel retail business,” says Francesca Spinetta, Editorial Director of Intima magazines.
