The fourth edition of Latvia's celebrated Lingerie Industry Forum brings yet another unique chance to evaluate new business opportunities, offering up new brands and quality European sourcing.
Key events in the official program
On October 25, Lauma Fabrics (part of the European Lingerie Group), will open its doors to participants for a guided tour of the plant. After lunch, Francesca Spinetta, co-owner & editorial director of Intima Media Group, will open the conference session with a presentation entitled "Global changes in the intimate apparel industry" before moderating a panel discussion with the involvement a number of international retailers hailing from the UK, Germany, Italy, France and Russia.
Joanna Grunt, co-owner of Pati Jò shops and certified bra fitter, will share her experience in introducing the bra fitting concept in Italy.
Claire Haines and Melissa Burton, founders of Lingerie Outlet Store, will discuss how, in under ten years, the store became one of the most important lingerie e-tailers in the United Kingdom.
Vladimir Surkov, co-owner of Brashop, among the most successful lingerie concepts in Russia, will unveil the key steps he took in the creation and growth of his business.
Mark Ramelow, general manager and spokesman for the seven-store chain Ramelow, will talk about his company, which to date is one of the longest-lived businesses in fashion retail in Germany.
Gillian Proctor, Associate Professor and head of the world-renowned Contour Fashion course at De Montfort University School of Design, intimate apparel historian and author of multiple books on lingerie, will present "The history of lace and corsetry - innovations and the future of the lingerie sector."
Over the course of the evening, ten Latvian brands will display their latest collections in a dedicated fashion show: Gracija-RIM, La Coquette, Nikol Djumon, Orhideja, Regina N, Rosme, Stefi L, V.I.P.A, V.O.V.A. and Ze:Bra.
On October 26, guests will have the opportunity to network with the thirty companies present at the Forum during a session of B2B meetings, and can also arrange visits to their production sites in Liepaja.
