The Best ofIntima & Swim Edit
27 September 2018
Designed to draw out those precious moments of relaxation, this capsule comes in 35 interchangeable pieces combining luxury and technicality, thus presenting a hybrid vision of ready-to-wear and swimwear.
This partnership was born of a mutual admiration between the two houses, a natural alchemy between the founder of SHAN, Chantal Lévesque, and the designer Marie Saint Pierre. Both of their institutions rely heavily on the technical excellence of fabrics, timeless styles, audacious details and the technical know-how found in Quebec - which both houses have brought to the international stage. The two brands worked in close collaboration on the project in order to create a symbiosis between the universes of the two designers.
Designed and manufactured in Quebec, the collection will be available at the two brands' outlets, in Canada and internationally.
"I have always believed in collaboration and sharing knowledge. I met Marie a long time ago and I have so much admiration for her career. This capsule is a reflection of the innovation and technical expertise of our two creative houses. It will be manufactured with care and precision in our respective ateliers. I am confident in this collaboration's staying power." - Chantal Lévesque.
The resulting collection contains the signature of both houses. It appears as a meeting between the science and unparalleled technicality of SHAN swimsuits, and the minimalist and spectacular signature of the house of Marie Saint Pierre. Jewelry and oversized ruffles give some of the collection's flagship bikini or kaftan models the look of evening wear, while other more refined models offer an elegance that effortlessly combines luxury and well-being.
"By bringing together the strengths of our two houses, we complement each other. Each house has its own values, which coincide in many areas, especially when it comes to promoting local know-how by offering this brand new capsule collection that will open up new markets to us. It also responds to a lifestyle that is revolving more and more around experience, all whilst remaining anchored in quality and timelessness." - Marie Saint Pierre.
