Second edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Ibiza

No less than 5 top Spanish labels have revealed their Resort 2019 collections at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, where London-based designer Melissa Odabash was also featured as a special guest for this second edition!

Organized by Mercedes-Benz Spain and the Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel, in collaboration with Madrid IFEMA, the group who organizes Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, on May 25th Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Ibiza welcomed more than 500 guests and enjoyed the participation of many renowned fashion designers, celebrities and high-profile personalities from around the world - including Princess Alessandra de Osma and English model Lottie Moss. The success of the event confirms MBFWIbiza as a key date in the Spanish fashion calendar and the second biggest fashion event in the country (after the Madrid edition).

The show featured a catwalk on the edge of the hotel's iconic pool, showcasing the resort creations Alvarno, Andrés Sardá, Jorge Vázquez, 2nd LAB by The 2nd Skin Co, Custo Barcelona, as well as London-based Californian designer Melissa Odabash, the 2018 guest of honor, who unveiled her "Après Plage" collection and a preview of her new capsule collection, to be launched in November 2018, to mark the brand's 20th anniversary.

Charo Izquierdo, Director of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Ibiza and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, confirmed the success of the event: "In this second edition of MBFWI, we have consolidated Spain's Resort Collection and elevated the event on an international scale, not only through the participation of guest international designer Melissa Odabash but also via the participation of a range of international media and fashion personalities."
