At Naughty Bettie lingerie is distinctively presented mounted in a frame … and it’s no wonder! It was originally launched 10 years ago by  Elise Kutt as Mod Bettie, a portrait boutique, its  aim to promote female empowerment through photography. Women of all ages, sizes and body types were encouraged to explore the intimate relationship with their own image. "In a society that puts a camera in every hand but is quick to shame the selfie, our mission is to empower women by creating a safe and supportive environment for female self-expression," explains Elise. She had noticed a recurring pattern during her boudoir-themed photo sessions: clients posing wearing lingerie that didn't suit them (usually purchased in malls or online, without any fitting assistance) were not only uncomfortable during the shoot, but  also dissatisfied with the result. So Elise decided to take the plunge, opening her own lingerie boutique in partnership with Michelle Krick.  Grafted on Mod Bettie’s manifesto, the sister company which was newly refurbished in 2020 offers a lingerie range that is inclusive in terms of size and experience.


Intriguingly housed in a former furniture factory, the space combines an industrial loft layout with a romantic and elegant furnishing style that evokes a homely atmosphere enhanced by light wooden floors, soft shades of powder pink, cream, white and gold, with crystal chandeliers and floral arrangements. Never short of ideas, Élise organises a variety of fun events: from wine and painting evenings with the participation of artist BUX, to the  Naughty Bingo event, accompanied by Beauty Beyond Drag shows. For those wanting more intimacy, the boutique also offers private appointments and girls' evenings.

We love the lingerie in gilded frames on exposed white brick walls and the shabby chic touch of the ramage hangings.
