As the company enters a new era in its development, it looks forward to expanded distribution into international markets. Shannon Reid, responsible for marketing of Montelle’s brands, told us more about what changes we can expect and discloses their latest partnership with Lusomé. Montelle will now oversee design elements, distribution and customer service, while offering further value-add resources through its established industry network. Lusomé Creator and President Lara Little will retain creative approval and brand direction.
In what ways is Montelle Intimates entering into a new era?
Montelle Intimates has evolved into a multi-brand company that offers a range of beautiful sleepwear, lingerie and lougewear products to meet the needs of multiple target markets. One point of contact gives busy boutique owners the ability to streamline their ordering processes thanks to a unique hassle-free service experience.
Montelle Intimates will now oversee design, manufacturing, production, sales, marketing and customer service, how will this be structured? Will there be a separate team for each label?
As Montelle Intimates grows and welcomes new brands under our umbrella, we are able to leverage enhanced resources to take our products and services to the next level and heighten the experience with our brands. From concept to customer service, we work as a team to take care of our customers holistically, developing the products and services that will appeal to their specific consumer while making sure each brand’s story is shared in its unique way.
What changes can we expect in terms of style, product offering and price point?
As a result of the acquisition, Fleur’t and Fleur’t With Me have been re-imagined by a new designer. Long–loved styles have been refreshed with a modern perspective while new sleepwear and loungewear looks have been added to each brand’s collections. Customers can look forward to the incorporation of new fabrics, including a knit cashmere lounge group in Fleur’t and ultra-soft French Terry in Fleur’t with Me. Prices bands will remain consistent for Fleur’t and Fleur’t With Me. For Fleur’t’s FW17 we go from $24.00 up to $180.00 and for Fleur’t With Me our price band is from $20.00 up to $89.00.
As Fleur’t expands its distribution into new international markets, what are your target countries?
We have quite an international following on Fleur’t social media channels and frequent international shoppers on our website. Currently we are working on expanding into the European/UK market and into Russia. And just in April we shipped our first order to South Korea and have already had a request for replenishment.
Which distribution channels do you plan on using in each country?
We currently have an agent in the UK and another one based out of Germany who also covers the Russian and Ukraine markets.
Who is your target clientele?
Fleur’t With Me calls to women with a free-spirited mindset who love to have fun with fashion and color and are looking for something on-trend yet unique in their lingerie, sleepwear and loungewear.
Which synergies exist between Montelle Intimates portfolio of brands?
While each of our brands target a specific market, often stores and end consumers purchase several brands from us as we offer beautifully designed garments with exceptional fit for the active woman...and by active I mean active in life. Whether running around with the kids, presenting in the boardroom, enjoying a night out, lounging with a glass of wine, peacefully dreaming, or hosting guests for the weekend, all of our brands meet the needs of the woman who engages in the art of living to look and feel beautiful, whatever she is doing.
Are you planning on expanding your portfolio further, if so in what direction will you take?
We were delighted to welcome our newest partner, Lusomé, into the Montelle family because of the brand's special beginning and unique product offering. Montelle Intimates Inc. and Lusomé have entered into a multi-faceted partnership spanning design, distribution and customer service, with a focus on increasing market penetration in North America while exploring new market opportunities internationally. Lusomé features a luxurious line of solution sleepwear for those affected by night sweats. The XirotexTM fabric is ultra-absorbent and not only draws perspiration, odor and bacteria away from the skin but also rapidly disperses it to accelerate evaporation. We simply had to be part of the story that was featured in Oprah magazine. We can't wait to introduce our boutiques to this exciting brand!
