In the tiny state of Brunei counting a population of 420,000, to this day Lilli Lingerie is the only specialty lingerie boutique where customers will find a rich selection of European brands.
Located on the island of Borneo, Brunei has a very limited offer of high-end lingerie, and all of it is available only in department stores. In the year 2000, after backpacking through Europe and living in Canada, Lili Yong set out to change this. She invested all her savings to open a small specialty store in a 300 sq.ft. location on the first floor of Sweet Deli, in the heart of the Kiulap shopping district. A short while later she moved to a bigger ground floor unit 3 times the size of the original shop, where she was able to provide comfort, professional expertise and a real shopping experience to her clients.
Fine black letters spelling Lilli Lingerie draw the eye to the elegant white storefront. Inside the boutique is modern and welcoming with white walls and polished concrete flooring. Contemporary style white open closets showcase the wide range on offer in an orderly fashion making it easy for clients to browse and choose. In a glass case cabinet they can also pick from an array of beauty products for extra pampering!Lili Yong is proud to be the first professional bra fitter in Brunei having attained her certification at London's Eveden Fitting School. Her aim is to help every woman to be fitted into the correct bra, because she believes with a perfectly fitted bra women not only look and feel better but gain confidence in themselves. To this end the boutique offers free alterations, mastectomy bras and breast prostheses for cancer patients.
