Lenny Leleu's Green Edge

With her fresh mix of leggings, tops, sweatshirts and accessories, Lenny Leleu finds herself between haute couture and sportswear. Her latest collection sees her also taking a foray into swim with a body that doubles as a bathing suit!

The Maps collection, Lenny Leleu's third "Legs & Leisure" collection, is clearly inspired by the transitional lines between earth, rocks, sandy beaches, seas and lakes that can be seen from above. Inspired by satellites images of maps and coastal regions, Leleu has translated this into seven items, ranging from leggings, tops, biker shorts and the body-bathing suit.

While nature was clearly the inspiration, Maps also goes toward protecting mother nature...Most of the items are made from Econyl, a recycled ocean-waste fiber. It has allowed the Belgian brand to work with sustainable materials without sacrificing on comfort or color intensity.  Furthermore, the pieces are made in Belgium with the more complex items being made in-house.

"For me, aesthetics and comfort come in first place, but if that can be done in a "green" way, that is a big bonus," comments Leleu
