Laut Apparel, rural memories with a feminine twist

Awarded the prize for the 2020 Best Emerging Collection at the Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida, "Zafra" pays tribute to that generation of women who during the war played a vital role in supporting their families: strong women, who were on the forefront in the fields, working the land, their hands diligently sowing and reaping, writing a great chapter of rural history, tinted with the intense red hues of ripe tomatoes. Nisamar Carrero, designer & founder of Laut Apparel, portrays this moment by presenting 19 styles in which swimsuits and beach cover-up textiles look to the past, with prints evoking country traditions and landscapes of an iconic period in the history of Spain. Stories of life, struggle, and hope, which went on to inspire the generations to come and which in this 2020 bring to us a strong message of tenacity and resilience. Because even in the most difficult times we can always find the strength to go on within ourselves.
