Originally an old family textile boutique, the activity took a turn towards the lingerie and wedding universe thanks to the new generation, spearheaded by sisters Carmina and Nina: from then on, the boutique has boasted one of the largest 19th century lingerie collections and bridal fashion offers in Spain! ❤ We love this timeless setting that plunges us 70 years back in time. The gilded mirrors, the lion leg furniture in weathered wood, the period display cases featuring eclectic retro accessories, the antique lace rolls and vintage wedding dresses all confer to this workshop-boutique an air of 1920-1950’s refinement, giving customers the impression of entering a typical 19th century boudoir house. In addition to hosting a mini lace museum within its walls, L’Arca is also involved in exciting projects, from the layout of Gaudi’s historical building, La Perdrera, to the supply of costumes and accessories for major Hollywood film productions, including the ultra-famous Titanic (Kate Winslet’s dress is displayed in the boutique, hence its nickname "Titanic store") and Vicky Cristina Barcelona. If you walk through the streets of the Gothic area, it would be a pity not to step into L’Arca for a journey through time in this pretty enclave of the past.
