Jean-Jacques Sebbag becomes president of VFB Lingerie

18 June 2018

Perceva, an independent investment company, has announced the appointment of Jean-Jacques Sebbag as Chairman of the VFB Lingerie Group.

He brings with him an impressive resume. Aged 49, and a graduate of the international program at Paris' Institut Supérieur de Gestion, Jean-Jacques Sebbag began his career in 1992 as auditor at Arthur Andersen. In 1995, he became sales manager in the Mediagerance communication agency. In 1997, he joined the Richemont group as commercial director of Montblanc France, before becoming international director of the Lancel brand in 2003 and then managing director of Western Europe for Alfred Dunhill in 2007, after having managed the emerging market business of Samsonite for a year. Jean-Jacques Sebbag joined Swarovski in 2011 as General Manager of Swarovski France, in the finished products division, and in 2015 he became Senior Vice President in charge of North America.

Jean-Jacques Sebbag states: "I am particularly honored to join VFB lingerie. Based on established know-how in the design and development of collections, two years ago this company committed itself to the repositioning of brands with strong identities, while remaining close to the expectations of its various customer segments. The challenge of driving company development with VFB teams, in France and abroad, across all channels of distribution, while preserving and enhancing the DNA of each brand, is an exciting story to write."

VFB Lingerie designs and distributes 4 brands with a strong and well-known identity: Vanity Fair, LOU, Bestform, and Variance, within a portfolio of 17 brands total, some of which are specific to their domestic market (Gemma or Cherry Beach in Spain). Thanks to their highly targeted positioning and their support from customer expectations, they allow the group to attract varied profiles of women and constitute complementary product segments. The group has a turnover of nearly 80 million euros and employs over 250 people in France and Spain.
