Iluna’s New STeP Certification

This is an independent system of certification for brands, retail companies and manufacturers from the textile chain who want to communicate their achievements regarding sustainable manufacturing processes to the public. Certification is possible for production facilities of all processing stages from fiber production, spinning mills, weaving mills, knitting mills to finishing facilities and manufacturers of ready-made textile items. This achievement lasts for three years and is based on a sophisticated evaluation, consisting of modular evaluation, which takes into account every part of the production chain. Audits are carried out on site in order to evaluate the management of chemicals, environmental performance, social responsibility, health and safety and quality. The objective of STeP certification is to facilitate the evolution of environmentally friendly production processes, optimum health and safety and socially acceptable working conditions in certified businesses. Iluna is now certified level two (Advanced) which clarifies and communicates the company’s sustainable production commitment regarding manufacturing and processing.
