Harp's Lingerie Turns 70!

Betty and Elouis Harp opened their first store on Chene Street, Detroit with $500.00 of borrowed cash. Betty's remarkable sense of style combined with Elouis' business acumen made such a winning combination that through the years, the Harps owned stores in Hamtramck, Ferndale, Warren, and Birmingham. Amazingly, Betty was still fitting bras two days before her death! Now her legacy lives on through her three sons and a devoted staff which include her two granddaughters and former daughter-in-law. Since 1947 the store has specialized in fitting bras from a 30A all the way up to a 54N, girdles and lingerie. 
Betty Harp's mantra of, "Make A Woman Feel Good About Herself", is still guiding the store today, with its expert team of bra fitters aiming to make a woman feel "uplifted" in more ways than one!
