Giovanna Battaglia is celebrating the launch of her new book Gio_Graphy: Fun in the Wild World of Fashion by taking over the windows at Bergdorf Goodman, alongside a pop-up shop. The street style favorite, fashion editor and creative director is bringing her legendary, sophisticated Italian style to 5th Ave this week during her Gio Takeover!
Yesterday Giovanna Battaglia crowned Emilio Cavallini as one of her favorite Italian brands represented at Bergdorf Goodman by putting both its leopard and zebra tights on display in her window setup at the iconic department store.
For over 40 years Emilio Cavallini has been synonymous with refined, arty fashion, very in keepin with Battaglia's own eclectic Italian style.
"When I started my company in 1970, I was intrigued by the idea of pulling hosiery out of anonymity, of transforming it into a 'garment' unto itself ... Miniskirts expose so much of the leg that tights are an integral part of any outfit. Let's face it, the leg makes up more than 30 percent of a head-to-toe look" states Emilio Cavallini.
