Founded in 1950 by Pietro and Ida Zorzi, their eponymous store started
out selling knitwear, shirts, legwear and notions in the heart of Chiavari
on Italy's Ligurian coast. Over the years, the store shifted its focus to
ready-to-wear and accessories. In 2007, management was passed down
to Davide and Adele Genovese, the third generation to run the familyowned
boutique. Club Zorzi 1950 is synonymous with French luxury
and contemporary fashion. Since 2018, a refined, must-have selection of couture, lifestyle lingerie has been
housed in its own stylish, standout boutique on the city's main shopping street.
❤ We love this trendy
concept store, with its metropolitan, glamorous, luxury street style. While the storefront carries on the
tradition of the Pietro Zorzi flagship, once inside, a Club Zorzi 1950 neon sign makes customers feel like they
are walking into an exclusive club. This cool, minimalist space, with its vaulted ceilings and painted-black
slate columns, houses a veritable gallery of modern fashion. Styles hung on hangers create looks that mix
lingerie, streetwear and athleisure: sweatshirts and T-shirts with leggings, a bra and a slip; printed pajama
sets with cashmere sweaters, robes, and negligées, which can be worn out-and-about in everyday life;
embroidered masks and slippers; and trendy, bejeweled socks, bags and shoes. Knickers and bras are
displayed like precious jewels in the windows of this former goldsmiths, while its old vault serves as a niche
for a spectacular wall collage — Club Zorzi's most distinct feature. This giant photomontage was envisioned,
cut and assembled by Adele and her staff, Chiara and Elena. It mixes iconic images from the worlds of
lingerie advertising, fashion and cinema, with customer photos and personal snapshots from the Zorzi
family's history, creating a super-cool, slightly underground, totally impressive aesthetic.
