Created in 2015 by Carlotta Tilli, this young swimsuit brand finds its heart somewhere between Paris and the Ligurian Coast and is the dream of a group of friends, three personalities who have joined forces and imaginations in order to dress a sophisticated, independent woman with a passion for travel: the Malaspiga woman. Infused with a delicious vintage feel and influenced by art and cinema, Malaspiga extols the timeless and exclusive elegance of products that are entirely Made in Italy. Original prints dreamt up on the beach and cuts with a retro influence are ready to accompany women on all their travels, no matter the season. Entitled “Carnet de Voyage – Portofino,” the latest summer collection speaks volumes for the brand’s outlook: a story inspired by charismatic divas of the past who lived in Portofino or even just loved the brightly colored village of Portofino, a name that has become so associated with beauty, sun, history, culture, refinement and an antique charm. Ava, Virna, Brigitte, Mina, Sylva, Sandra Dee, Rita, Claudia, Stefania and even Gina are the evocative names given to the models of this collection that seeks to highlight the Ligurian origins of the brand through sophisticated colors and well-thought-out patterns, and is inspired by travel and discovery, by relaxation and, of course, high-society life. With her big sunglasses, her headwrap and her bare feet in the water, the Malaspiga woman of next summer makes the most of every moment of sun the day offers her, all while preparing for the evenings which, in Portofino, are simply pulsing with parties. Only she knows how to live in those little moments of retro taste, how to lose herself to long swims, how to fall in love with a sunset on a boat or have a drink in the most fashionable corners. Bikinis, one-pieces or trikinis, you can expect the models to have a price point of between 185 and 220 USD. Already stocked in a selection of boutiques in Italy, Malaspiga has plans to conquer Europe. Based in Paris since last September, Alessandra Palermo, who has been by Carlotta Tilli’s side throughout this journey, is in charge of developing the brand and will soon install a showroom in the French capital.
