German brand Conturelle and their parent company Felina International AG, have a history which dates back to 1885. In the USA they are marketed as Conturelle but operate a production facility in Hungary and have distribution companies in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland and the Czech Republic. The group is headquartered in Mannheim, Germany. Their distribution network covers most of Europe and includes over 6,500 dealers worldwide and employ over 700 people. While Lauma International is the parent company for Lauma Fabrics, a manufacturer of fabrics, laces and narrow bands for the intimate apparel industry. They operate production facilities in Latvia and Germany and are owned by Indrek Rahumaa and John Bonfield.
With the acquisition of Conturelle (Felina International AG), Lauma International expands its reach to manufacturing and retail of lingerie, forming a new vertically integrated structure with the combined revenue in excess of 75 million euros and a workforce of 1,250 people, which will serve as a platform for further consolidation in the market. The existing management teams of the newly formed group will be led by Peter Partma, who joins the group as the CEO today. Mr Partma is a widely respected manager whose experience includes managing the iconic Tsum department store in Moscow (2008-2015) and overseeing the opening of the first IKEA store in Russia.
The transaction is financed by a consortium of banks in Latvia - Citadele bank and BlueOrange (Baltikums Bank AS), led by Citadele bank. AS LHV Pank acted as an advisor on Lauma International side.
