This move marks the initial step in the company’s plan to open up to ten stores in the New York region (including New Jersey, Manhattan, Long Island and Rhode Island), and between 200 and 300 stores across the US over the next five years, according to French founder and CEO Morgan Hermand-Waiche. The brand posted earnings of more than $100 million from online sales alone in 2017 in its effort to compete with the world’s leading luxury brands, and currently employs 170 people. The new boutique carries everything from the essential T-shirt bra to fashion-forward and edgier lingerie in a wide range of sizes spanning petite to plus. As an extra treat, the space is equipped with a marble "lingerie bar" stocked with candy and refreshments to welcome clients. The store also boasts high-tech "smart" fitting rooms that allow shoppers to request additional sizes by tapping on a screen. Sales assistants receive the notification and bring the requested product directly.
