After a year of military school, and feeling a little lost, she finally embarked on studies in agricultural engineering and graduated. Adèle continued her studies by joining HEC, Paris’ world class business school, for a postgraduate in entrepreneurship. And then she finally decided to set about doing what had become clear was her path: she would be an entrepreneur! In 2009, she became a partner in an industrial group and for almost 6 years co-led a start-up in climate engineering. It is here that she met the man of her life. A wedding, an exile in the French wine growing countryside and two children later, Adèle with a touch of irony formulated what her next challenge would be: learning how to use Instagram, receiving free clothes and laughing all the while. Since then, juggling creation and innovation, she has been seeking to shake up the codes of fashion.
In 2016, she joined the Calchemise project, - an innovative start-up launched by two engineers who revolutionized the men's wardrobe with a unique model of shirt underwear - and took on the reins of the company. From then on everything unraveled smoothly: under the aegis of Calchemise, the brand La Totale was founded in 2019 launching on the market its Renée suit, a women's jumpsuit, cut on the model of a shirt with shorts. Success was immediate. In 2020, La Totale reinterpreted the sexy pajamas we no longer cannot do without and lifted the veil on a new model: the Jama jumpsuit, a sexy, oversized, and amazingly comfortable nightie, in which only the back line and the kidneys are revealed bringing a touch of sensuality. Perfect for the modern active woman, this combination is much more than a night look or a daytime outfit: designed in beautiful matte satin, available in black, white or terracotta, it can be worn on any occasion, from relaxing moments at home, to stepping out into the city. It is also ideal for yoga sessions, a long night’s sleep or even a stylish dinner. Innovational, this model which has already seduced the lingerie boutiques, is tailored with an invisible zipper in between the legs so as not to have to remove everything when going to the ladies!
As well as its more fashionable and practical aspects, there is also an ecological commitment: La Totale refuses any kind of transport exceeding 2,000km from Lyon, France, its headquarters. The materials it uses are therefore purchased in France and Spain, while production is carried out in a factory in Tunis. A supporter of "zero waste", the brand has set up a production system that recycles left overs, bringing them to life again in the form of masks, panties or cotton pads! Today, La Totale's teams are working at a frantic pace to invent and reinvent the combination. Almost 10 models are currently in the pipeline.
