UNION AG, the world's oldest embroidery company with almost 270 years of history, has taken over the business activities of ISCO Isidor Scheffknecht Gesellschaft in Lustenau, Austria, as of March 2024. This investment was made as part of a strategic development plan for the future. UNION AG, based in St. Gallen, is an established embroidery manufacturer on the international lingerie market and will continue the business activities of the more than 100-year-old ISCO under the name UNION AG. "The acquisition of ISCO is in line with our long-term vision of growth and sustainability. Production in Vorarlberg, Austria, ideally complements our production system, including finishing operations in Asia, to optimally serve our international customers from Europe and offer more security on the supply chain," says Adrian Beeli, CEO of the Union Group. "Quality and customer proximity also play an important role in the group's development strategies. We are now well structured for the future. Embroidery is a niche product in the textile industry, but a noble product; we are happy to continue working successfully in this niche." UNION AG has been offering high-quality embroidery since 1759, the goal announced by the ownership is to continue to focus on the development of modern, contemporary, durable and innovative designs.
