With a series of conferences and roundtables, CONECT provided an excellent program for the selection of industry leaders and international and Tunisian journalists. Attendees includes Samir Ben Abdallah, GPCH President, Douja Garbi, CONECT Vice President, Zied Laadhari, Minister of Industry and Commerce, who opened the event.
"Tunisia as platform for Euromed cooperation in the textile industry" The first point of discussion was proposed by Slim Kheder, textile industry consultant with interventions from Luca Rinfreschi, President of CNA Federmoda, Antonio Franceschini, National Director of the CNA and Constantin Livas, Senior Expert from the European Commission.
The convention then focused on the theme of promotion and competition: Boujemaa Harbaoui, textile industry expert, oversaw the arguments presented by Aziza Htira, CPEX President, Abdesslem Azzuz fom the Ginerva ITC International Commercial Center, Samir Bachoual, APL Director, Abdelaziz Sifaoui, Director of Lectra Tunisia and Neila Gongi, President of MFCPole. Many of the points and debates discussed by the government representatives were brought up in order to confront the demands of a sector going through rapid evolution.
The second part of the event was opened by Imed Hammami, Minister of Vocational Training and Employment, and characterized by the momentous moment when CONECT and CNA Federamoda signed a partnership agreement. This was followed by a roundtable on the future of the legwear industry in Tunisia, hosted by Fathi Boughammi, Director of the Center of Vocational Leather Work Training. A final roundtable focused on a career as a Fashion Stylist, weighing up the opportunities and prospectives, and was lead by Maryline Belieud-Vigouroux from the Maison Méditerranéenne des Métiers de la Mode, Khaled Ben Yahia, General Director of the Tunisian Agency for Vocational Training. Many interesting testimonials on the creative industry in Tunisia were told!
This last focus point brought all of the guests to the final event of the day: the catwalk by young Tunisian stylists. A jury of industry professionals acted as a jury for the annual contest.
