Being a wedding and boudoir photographer since 2012, Katlyn Prins for years has been forced to refer her clients to shop in person at stores with limited choices, or to order online. After reflecting on creating her own retail business, with the help of experienced professionals in the field, and finding the right space that fits her vision, Katlyn finally opened the first experience-based boutique in Alberta with the boudoir studio space on site. Society Lingerie is an upscale feminine lingerie boutique that offers unique and special bras, panties, bodysuits and elevated everyday wear for all sizes and all bodies that make every woman feel confident and beautiful.

Located in a quaint downtown inside of a 72-year-old building that used to be a movie theatre, it is a destination shopping experience, with many established local boutiques around. Katlyn’s idea was to create a different shopping experience that was soft, feminine, elegant and luxurious. Following this dream, the design of the place is a mix between romantism and modernism. It has a couple of brick walls with large west facing windows that have tender white mesh curtains to create softer light. The walls have been painted white with thick slat wall to make it look more upscale, with painted grey concrete floors. Two rows of track lighting give the opportunity to make every corner of the space brighter.

The fitting rooms’ soft blush pink curtains on a custom curved rod give soft lines to the space, while gold arched mirrors and hooks add touches of simple glam and elegance. Warm grey stools provide a space for the customer’s clothing, and for them to sit while getting dressed.
Society Lingerie is bright, feminine and inviting space which offers not only everyday bra and panties but provides gorgeous lingerie for women to wear every day, for the bedroom or their boudoir photo session.
